Why I started Mum in her Prime.

I never imagined I’d become a mum again at 40.
Not after seven losses. Not while juggling full-time work, law school deadlines, and a body that doesn’t bounce back the way it used to. But here I am raising two miracles, navigating motherhood in midlife, and building a blog in the quiet moments between chaos.
Mum in Her Prime was born out of exhaustion, resilience, and a deep need to tell the truth.
The Truth About Midlife Motherhood
It’s not all scented candles and slow mornings. It’s lukewarm coffee, toddler tantrums, and trying to revise case law while someone wipes banana on your leggings. It’s beautiful. It’s brutal. And it’s rarely talked about.
I wanted a space where mums and dads like me navigating motherhood after 40, managing invisible health challenges, and still showing up could feel seen.
Why Now?
Because I’ve spent years documenting my life in journals, voice notes, and half-written captions. Because I’ve learned that advocacy starts with honesty. And because I know there are other people out there whispering, “Is it just me?”
It’s not just you.
This blog is for the parents who feel like they’re starting over. For the ones who’ve lost babies, lost sleep, lost themselves and are slowly finding their way back.

Final Thought
I’m not past my prime. I’m living it in the mess, the milestones, and the moments that matter.
